He said that mostly locals came here so I didn't really know what to expect ambiance wise... but screw it, the view at this bar was absolutely breathtaking! No joke. I felt like a celebrity w/ superstar treatment as the staff are friendly and amazing to say the very least.

I don't know who the house DJ was but he definitely was playing music right up my alley. It would've been my dream for people to start dancing, but it's all good.

It's a bit sceney for my taste, but it really didn't bother me much. the bartenders knew their stuff, although their 1st cocktail was a little weak, when he saw i understood cocktails the next 2 were stronger. I also liked that even though the place was really hopping the bartender remembered what i was drinking when i came to order another. (he also understood how good a gin hendricks is, and not to overpower it with the mixer). It was amazing to see their “das boot” which is shaped like a boot filled with beer. Don’t get me wrong, I am not drunk…it’s an actual boot shaped beer container ready to be emptied..try it ..you will love it!! Oh..how can I forget, they even have a wheel o' shots where you just have to spin it and have to drink whatever shot it lands on!! Now call that bar creativity at its best!!!

We ordered the Veal and Fish Tacos. They were delicious. Mm! We ended up asking for spoons to polish off whatever remained in the platter. (Faux pas? Who cares as long as it gets in my tummy.) The fries were crispy, but not overcooked, just the way that I like them.

So take in this scene: You walk in to what seems like an overly crowded place, but soon fine an empty table. Time seems to stop and the only indicator of the night moving on is the moon and your brain cells slowly going to bed forever. The music is not to loud and the people around look good, the only thing left for you to do is to enjoy that drink you paid ridiculously low for and laugh at the joke your co-worker just told.

The vibe of the place just never seems to die out and if you happen to spot some NYC socialite, sports player, or star, don't let it get to you... because for that moment, this night they are no long more important than then you. In fact go up to them and introduce yourself!

All in all just a great place to meet new people, or just have drinks with people you already know. I've been to numerous bars in the city but i would say this place is just great. Very welcoming staff, very laid back ambiance. I’ve been here twice after my first visit with my Cali group . I would say its worth the every penny you spend!!

Re: Confessions of a former SUV Owner, Part Deux

The Mini is really incredibly fuel efficient! Perhaps you're correct and we (and the public in general) need to be a bit more educated on the foam vs. paper debate.

Re: Twitter Interaction

First - off, I would like to see the auther do a little bit more homework before going off of the deep on foam products, not "Styrofoam" (Styrofoam is a brand name like "Kleenex" is for face tissues).
Foam cups and containers for use in the food and beverage industry are one of the greenest products in the market today. Looking at this from a cradle-to-grave standpoint clearly will show this.
Paper cups and containers are lined with a plastic. This plastic does not allow these products to biodegrade, or even be recycled. In fact, no company I have heard of will take a paper cup, like the onese that Starbucks uses because it is nearly impossible to separate the plastic from the paper to recycle.
It takes 1/3 the amount of energy to produce a foam cup than it does a paper cup.
Foam cups are made up of 95% air, which means there is 50% less material going into a foam cup than a paper cup. But even more astounding, is foam cups produce 79% less solid waste than comparable sized paper cups.
Next, foam cups are recyclable. In the west coast, some communities have adopted curb side recycling programs for expanded polystyrene. In others such as Toronto, Canada, they are investigating programs for users to recycle foam products.
Lastly, you have to look at the economical standpoint of foam products vs. paper products. a 16 oz foam cup will cost less than half as much than a paper cup. If I were in the foodservice industry, my bottom line would be pretty important.

ENVIRONMENT, COST, and INSULATION PROPERTIES of foam vs. paper? I choose foam every time.

Re: The Late 90's Are Awesome

Thanks Matt. My name is Julia and I am the Product Manager for nsCommerceSpace. Much of what you point out are things we are working on, particularly the user experience of the admin panel. We had an update last night where we made some changes to our dashboard, so be sure to log in and check it out.

In terms of design, we have a free one hour JumpStart consultation that you can take advantage of where you can speak to one of our designers who will help walk you through our system. If you are interested in getting set up for the free consultation, let me know or give your sales rep a call. We are also working on our templates to provide our merchants with some more updated choices.

We have some exciting new features coming out in the next few months that will provide even more flexibility on how you can merchandise your products, improved shipping options, better customer management options and a lot more so stay tuned!

Anyways, thanks for the feedback and information. We do take conversations like this to heart so please keep us updated with your progress.

If you should need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me, you should now have my email.
